As a Responsible Corporate Citizen, the SLT Group Takes Step to Initiate a Special Natural Disaster Relief Program.

Sri Lanka Telecom Group as a responsible corporate citizen has decided to initiate a special natural disaster relief programme to provide relief and facilities to the people affected by the prevailing inclement weather condition, perhaps the most destructive natural disaster after tsunami in 2004. Following actions will be taken under this programme

  • A sum of Rs. 6 million will be donated to special president's fund to contribute towards providing relief and facilities to such people.

SLT hands over contributions for flood / landslide victims to Disaster Management Centre.

In response to the calamity faced by many Sri Lankans during the recent extreme weather conditions, Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) enabled its Head Office and regional offices as collection centres to collect essential items for distribution to those in affected areas. A significant amount of items were collected such as dry rations, clothing items etc. from employees as well as members of the public at these islandwide collection centres. SLT Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd. also contributed towards collecting essential items for distribution to victims.

SLT rewards winners of its Extra GB Bonanza promotion.

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the leading ICT solutions provider in Sri Lanka held the much awaited award ceremony to deliver its promises to the winners of the company’s Extra GB Bonanza promotion which kicked off in the beginning of the year. The promotion period lasted from January to March 2016 and all broadband users including Megaline (ADSL), 4G LTE and Smartline (FTTH) users were eligible for the promotion.

Sri Lanka Telecom announces the first ever “SLT Zero One Awards for Digital Excellence”

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the leading ICT solutions provider in the country announced the launch of the first ever Digital Excellence Awards, “SLT Zero One Awards for Digital Excellence” (SLT 01 Awards) to be held in Sri Lanka. SLT 01 Awards 2016 will be organized to recognize and appreciate institutions and individuals as well as brands in their quest for excellence in the field of digital initiatives. Sri Lanka Telecom wins City & Guilds Lion Award, the Oscar of skills education.

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) proudly announces that the SLT Training centre has been recognized as the “International Centre of Excellence - South Asia 2016/17”. This award was announced at the City & Guilds Lion Awards 2016, held at the Capel Manor College in London recently. Further SLT Training Centre has also won two more important awards at this ceremony: “International Tutor of the Year”, awarded to a lecturer of SLT Training Centre, Mr.
