SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT and Mobile Services Provider partnered with STEMUP Educational Foundation to conduct Hack:bit 2020, a virtual inter-school and inter-university nationwide hackathon with the aim of inspiring creativity amongst Sri Lankan youth. The grand finals of the Hack:bit 2020 took place recently with prizes worth Rs. 1.5 million presented to winners who represented School and University categories.

SLT-MOBITEL, the national ICT and telecommunication service provider, has stormed into Sri Lanka’s Top Ten Most Valuable Brands according to the annual index released by Brand Finance Lanka recently.

STL-MOBITEL has been ranked at ninth place and is a new entrant to the Top Ten . The ranking is based on the 18th annual review of Sri Lanka’s Most Valuable Brands conducted by brand valuation and strategy firm Brand Finance Lanka.

SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT, Telecommunications and Mobile Services Provider, launched a national effort to light up hearts affected by the pandemic, through the illumination of colourful Vesak lanterns and lights at the SLT head office. Kikiliyamana School, Nuwara Eliya receives over 1000 books

Continuing to inculcate the love for reading and knowledge among children, SLT-MOBITEL carried out the second phase of its ‘Hithak Athnam Pothak Denna’ (හිතක් ඇත්නම් පොතක් දෙන්න) programme by donating over 1,000 books and connectivity solutions to the Kikiliyamana School in Nuwara Eliya recently. The programme was initiated in September 2020 last year, parallel to the National Literacy Month with the intention of providing books for needy schools.

With the objective of continually upgrading mobility services for all Sri Lankans, SLT-MOBITEL, the national ICT and mobile services provider has extended the sltgo Wi-Fi offering for all prepaid customers, providing them the opportunity to access unlimited data through their smartphones, laptop or other mobile devices. This service was introduced with the launch of sltgo Prepaid Solutions, held recently.
