‘SLTMOBITEL Speedup Southern Eliyakanda Hill Climb 2021’ Motorbike and Car racing championship powered by the ultra-high speed fibre broadband and fastest mobile internet services provider in Sri Lanka SLT-MOBITEL concluded successfully amid much fanfare, on the 27th and 28th February, 2021 at the Eliyakanda racing circuit in Matara.

Continuing with their focus of uplifting the country’s educational landscape by way of encouraging more readers and bringing books closer to the country’s youth, SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT and Telecommunications Services Provider in partnership with Manusath Derana completed the second phase of an ongoing CSR project which is aimed at transforming decommissioned SLTB Busses into fully fledged libraries.

SLT-MOBITEL, the nation’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions leader has signed a MoU with CT Land Development PLC, the owning company of Majestic City luxury shopping complex with the aim of elevating the building’s ICT infrastructure.

Majestic City, which often is best known by its moniker, ‘MC’, is an iconic and one of the most recognizable buildings located in the heart of the bustling city of Bambalapitiya, Colombo 04.

It has come to our attention that there are certain statements and malicious messages circulating on social media about the installation and propagation of a spyware claiming that SLT-MOBITEL is complicit in an alleged unlawful activity meant to compromise the information of our valued customers.

SLT-MOBITEL categorically denies such allegations and considers the origination of these claims about the installation and propagation of a malicious spyware are absolutely baseless and defamatory.

SLT-MOBITEL Recognized Among Top Ten Corporate Citizens of 2020

SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT and Mobile Service Provider was included among the Top Ten Corporate Citizens of Sri Lanka at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2020 which was organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recently. SLT-MOBITEL also received a Category Award for Economic Contribution and a Sector Award for “Other “Sector.

SLT-MOBITEL, embarked with a book donation program which newly initiated “ Hithak Athnam Pothak Denna’ (හිතක් ඇත්නම් පොතක් දෙන්න)” programme understanding the urgency of empowering future generations through knowledge and education. Commenced the first phase, SLT-MOBITEL donated over 800 books to Malwana Maha Vidyalaya recently. Several senior officers from SLT Head Office and  Kelaniya  Regional office attended  the event.  The principal, members of staff and some students were present to accept the books.
