The full day awareness programme was conducted at the Ceybank Rest, Anuradhapura with the participation of principals from over 200 schools in the Anuradhapura district. The MoU was signed at Sri Dalada Maligawa with Mr. Chinthaka Wijesooriya, Chief Regional Officer of SLT signing on behalf of the company and Mr. Krishantha Hiswella, Director-Media & Special Projects signing on behalf of Sri Dalada Maligawa. Mr. P. G. Kumarasingha assumed duties as the New Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) Group, the holding company consisting of seven subsidiaries, on 22nd January, 2015, making him the 8th Chairman of SLT following the company's privatization in 1996. A simple ceremony was held at the SLT headquarters at an auspicious time with the participation of the Board of Directors including foreign directors, the Group CEO, subsidiary CEO’s, Senior management of SLT and Trade union members.
