Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecommunication service provider in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) organized an awareness programme on Child Protection for school principals in the Anuradhapura District recently. The full day awareness programme was conducted at the Ceybank Rest, Anuradhapura with the participation of principals from over 200 schools in the Anuradhapura district. SLT incorporates “SLT Property Management (Pvt) Ltd.

SLT, exclusive partner for Sri Dalada Maligawa ICT Project

Sri Lanka Telecom, the National ICT Solutions Provider recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sri Dalada Maligawa to be the exclusive Official Telecommunication Partner for the temple. The MoU was signed at Sri Dalada Maligawa with Mr. Chinthaka Wijesooriya, Chief Regional Officer of SLT signing on behalf of the company and Mr. Krishantha Hiswella, Director-Media & Special Projects signing on behalf of Sri Dalada Maligawa. This MoU was signed under the patronage of Mr. Lalith De Silva, Group Chief Executive Officer of SLT upon the request of Mr.

SLT student receives recognition as the City & Guilds ‘International Learner of the Year’

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) is proud to announce that a student of the SLT Training Centre, was crowned as the 1st Asian to win ‘International Learner of the Year’ award. He was also the winner of ‘Medal for Excellence’ program under the category of ‘Telecommunication Systems’ at the recently held annual City & Guilds ‘Medal for Excellence and Lion Awards’ at the Round House Theatre in London.

Mr. P. G. Kumarasingha Assumes Duties as the New Chairman of SLT Group

Mr. P. G. Kumarasingha assumed duties as the New Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) Group, the holding company consisting of seven subsidiaries, on 22nd January, 2015, making him the 8th Chairman of SLT following the company's privatization in 1996. A simple ceremony was held at the SLT headquarters at an auspicious time with the participation of the Board of Directors including foreign directors, the Group CEO, subsidiary CEO’s, Senior management of SLT and Trade union members. The Group CEO of SLT, Mr. Lalith de Silva welcomed Mr. Kumarasingha on this occasion.
