SLT Customer Club – Ratnapura and SLT volunteer staff conduct “Planting for Water”

SLT Customer Club - Ratnapura together with the SLT volunteer team has organized a mission, “Planting for Water”, which is a “reforestation project” conducted at Rakwana Palamkotte mountain range, bordering the world heritage Sinharaja rain forest. This programme was greatly supported and guided by the regional authorities from the Department of National Community Water Supply, Forest Department Sri Lanka and volunteers from the community living in the area.

SLT enter into landmark agreement to power the UDA’s multiple condominiums as the exclusive telecommunications partner

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecommunication service provider and the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lanka (UDA) signed an agreement recently, to undertake to build ICT infrastructure for seven new condominiums to be constructed in urban areas. Under the agreement, SLT will be the Exclusive Telecommunication Service Provider for these housing projects.

SLT Fibre to power Phases 3 & 4 of Havelock City

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider in Sri Lanka was proud to announce its partnership with the BOI approved Mireka Homes (Private) Ltd., to be the Exclusive Telecommunication Service Provider for the Phases 3 and 4 of Havelock City the largest integrated mixed-use development project undertaken in Sri Lanka The landmark agreement between the two companies was signed recently at SLT head office premises, in the presence of respective officials from both companies.

SLT successfully concludes “eSports Cafe Challenge”

Powered by SLT’s next generation fibre optic broadband, Sri Lanka Telecom, the Country’s leading digital service provider and the provider of lag-less gaming experience proudly presented the “SLT eSports Cafe Challenge”. The first gaming event was held recently at the Keero Gaming Launge, Gangodawila, Nugogoda. The administration and the management part of this event was handled by gamer.lk. “SLT eSports Cafe Challenge” is recognized as a ranking tournament by Sri Lanka e-Sports Association (SLESA).

Court dismisses Dialog Broadband Petition against SLT

The Commercial High Court judge Hon. Ratnapriya Gurusinghe has dismissed the petition filed by Dialog Broadband Network Ltd (Dialog Broadband) on 18.07.2017 against Sri Lanka Telecom PLC (SLT) regarding the alleged violation of Intellectual Property Rights by SLT relating to GPON RFP to build last mile fibre solutions using FTTH by Dialog. Dialog Broadband, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Dialog Axiata PLC claimed a sum of Rupees 7.8 Billion among other relief from SLT under their petition on the basis that SLT has referred to GPON RFP under District Court case No.

SLT’s SEA-ME-WE5 Cable Landing Station Project wins Gold Award at the National Project Management Excellence Awards

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider for the nation was the proud winner of the Gold award under the “Best Managed Project in Telecommunications Sector” category for its Matara SEA-ME-WE5 Submarine Cable Landing Station Project at the National Project Management Excellence Awards conducted recently by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Sri Lanka Chapter 2018. Mr Priyantha Fernandez, Chief Operations Officer & Chief Technology Officer and Mr. Mangala Samarajeewa , Chief Network Officer accepted the award on behalf of the company.
