This is to address the concerns regarding a recent Social Media coverage that held SLT-MOBITEL accountable for the slowness experienced in the Broker Systems hosted in SLT-MOBITEL Data Center on 13th September 2021.

SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT Solutions Provider has introduced its Call Tutor audio lessons service to assist the little ones in confidently preparing for their Grade Five Scholarship Exam scheduled for November this year. Parents simply need to dial 1296 on their SLT-MOBITEL Home phone to access this service.

Based on last year’s figures, over 300,000 students sat for the Grade Five Scholarship Exam. Moreover, with the outbreak of COVID-19 and the closure of schools, Children especially the little ones, face enormous challenges to stay on track with their studies.

Sri Lanka Telecom PLC (SLT) initiated legal action yesterday (01.11.2021) against SJB Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara in the Colombo District Court, requesting him to pay a sum of Rs. One Billion as damages, averring that irreparable loss and damage has been caused to SLT’s brand image and reputation by grossly unfounded and false statements.

SLT-MOBITEL, achieved a 49.2% year-on-year growth of Profit After Tax (PAT) in Q3 2021, posting Rs. 3.2 Bn in PAT, reiterating consumer confidence in the National ICT Solutions Provider. The commitment to cost consolidation across verticals combined with the group-wide undertaking to minimise waste, convert waste to cash and manage OPEX costs, resulted in savings over the year and is reflected in the year-on-year bottom-line and continued dividend payments.
