SLT launches i-Sri Lanka - consistent, uninterrupted high speed internet

To broaden ICT horizons to revolutionize the lifestyles of the people in Sri Lanka

19th September, Jaffna: Sri Lanka Telecom, the nation’s number one integrated communications service provider and the leading broadband & backbone infrastructure services provider, today launched its ultra high speed Broadband Network under its nation-wide network modernisation project “i-Sri Lanka”. This is the largest ICT project in Jaffna alongside the opening of the SLT Regional Telecommunication Office and Maintenance Centre in Jaffna.

SLT and Mobitel together with the Ministry of Telecommunication and IT comes forward to assist flood victims in affected areas

Sri Lanka Telecom and Mobitel, the nation’s leading Integrated communication services providers join hands with the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology to support the Disaster Management Centre to help victims hit by heavy rains and subsequent floods that have occurred in the northern and eastern parts of our country, especially in Kalkudai and Ampara areas. Most of these books were obtained from UK and US and were sold at amazingly affordable prices providing valuable knowledge and insight for all.

SLT donates books to Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecom service provider, in collaboration with the Asia Foundation, conducted a book distribution programme at the Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo 08 to commemorate Children’s Day. The books were distributed to children studying in years 1 to 11, and covered a diverse range of subjects such as English Language, Geography, Science, History, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Sports, story books etc.
