SLT and Mobitel joining hands with Manusath Derana , conduct “SMILE WITHIN” one million masks donation campaign.

Sri Lanka Telecom PLC and SLT Mobitel joining hands with “Manusath Derana “currently carrying out the “SMILE WITHIN” one million masks donation and awareness campaign helping to make Sri Lanka a much safer place to return to normalcy. This program is implemented as a public service at Corona pandemic while the World Health Organization recommended to wear masks.

The campaign started in Colombo and continued in public places around the country including North and East provinces.

SLT powers ‘AL Kuppiya’ to enhance digital learning of A/L students.

Sri Lanka Telecom, the National Telecommunication Service provider, announced its partnership with AL Kuppiya, the e-learning platform catering for Advanced Level students, by introducing special data bundles for SLT Broadband customers. The partnership agreement was signed with Crayons Education (Pvt) Ltd. the online educational service provider that hosts the programme.

SLT enters into an agreement with Sri Lanka Port Authority to provide communication services to SLPA.

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the National ICT solutions & Digital services provider signed an agreement with Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA) to provide communication services to SLPA. The agreement between the two companies was signed at the SLPA premises in Colombo. On behalf of SLPA; Chairman- General Daya Ratnayake, Managing Director - Mr. W.S. Weeraman, and on behalf of SLT, CEO -Mr. Kiththi Perera, Chief Enterprise & Wholesale Officer - Mr. Janaka Abeysinghe signed the agreement as the authorized signatories.

Project will empower 25 rural schools across the country.

SLT & Mobitel partnered with Manusath Derana on a national level CSR project that aims to convert decommissioned SLTB buses into fully-fledged libraries. The initiative is carried out in partnership with the National Library of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) and Mobitel partnered with “Manusath Derana” to help transform 25 decommissioned Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses into modern and fully equipped libraries. These library buses will contain reading facilities, WiFi connectivity and other such support systems ready to enable children to connect with the information world. These libraries will act as learning centres that will provide equal opportunities for students with accessible educational resources and to help inculcate the crucial habit of reading.
