SLT’s Global connectivity services greatly support Maldives’ Internet.

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider and the largest Internet Services Provider (ISP) in Sri Lanka has greatly assisted in expanding internet service in Maldives through its joint Submarine Cable System with Dhiraagu (DS - Undersea Cable system). This effort greatly supports connecting Maldives to the Global Internet Highway.

Sri Lanka Telecom powers the Katukurunda Motor Races.

The SLT Katukurunda Motor Races which was jointly organized by the Asian Motor Racing Club and the Sri Lankan Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) was successfully held on Sunday, 26th July 2016 at the Air Force base, Katukurunda.  The motor racing championships comprised of a total of 21 events. Under the overall championship, the title of Overall Best Rider went to Pramuka Sesath while the title of Overall Best Driver was secured by Ashan Silva.

The Kularatne Lama Nivasa, Godakawela, Ratnapura was the beneficiary of several household and other essential items provided by the digital media team of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider that takes its responsibility to the community. Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has strengthened its partnership as the official Telecommunications Service Provider of the Sri Dalada Maligawa.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed recently to provide ultra-high-speed broadband internet services via SLT Fibre optic technology to the Maligawa premises as well as PEO TV facilities via IPTV technology.

Sri Lanka Telecom, the national ICT solutions provider in the country launched its latest Public Wi-Fi hotspot at the popular Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo 07. This Wi-Fi hotspot facilitates internet users with SLT’s ADSL Home Broadband roaming, SLT Pre-paid Wi-Fi access and FREE Wi-Fi options providing visitors to the park with immense freedom to experience easy wireless access to internet, email, social networking sites etc. on their smart devices.
