Mr. Rasheed is a seasoned professional with over 34 years of experience, including 29 years in the telecommunications industry, having worked with subsidiaries of leading multinational corporations such as Millicom International Cellular SA of Luxembourg, Emirates Telecommunication Group Company PJSC (Etisalat), and the CK Hutchison Group.

He commenced his professional career at Ernst & Young and has since held several senior leadership roles, including Acting CEO/Chief Financial Officer of Robi Axiata PLC, Bangladesh, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hutchison Telecommunications, Sri Lanka, and Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer at Etisalat Sri Lanka.

Mr. Rasheed also served as Chief Financial Officer of Celltel Lanka Limited and Tigo Lanka Private Limited. Prior to entering the telecommunications sector, Mr. Rasheed spent over three years with the Hayleys Group of Companies, attached to Dipped Products PLC.

Mr. Rasheed holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a Bachelor's Degree in Pure Sciences (BSc). He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (FCMA UK), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCMА SL).
