Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the country’s number one telecommunication operator proudly announced its achievements at the recently held ‘Best Presented Annual Report Awards 2011’ organised by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). The company was adjudged as the “Winner” of the best presented annual report under the "Communication and Information Technology Sector” category and the ”Overall Winner – 2nd Runner Up” for the year 2011. The SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Awards is considered as the most prestigious accolade for financial reporting in the South Asian region. It signifies SAFA's recognition and reward for organizations in the region which have achieved excellence in presentation and disclosure of high quality, relevant, reliable and objective financial statements in accordance to the framework stipulated by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
