Country’s longest cycle race “SLT SpeedUp sawariya” marked the finish line in Dambulla.

Sri Lanka’s longest across the country cycle race organized by the Sri Lanka Telecom successfully came to an end on 28th of September in Dambulla. The final day men race started from Trincomalee and travelled through Kantale, Habarana, Inamaluwa and marked the end point at Dambulla.

The 5th Day winner was Jeewan Jayasinghe of Sri Lanka Air Force. The 1st runners-up was Pasindu Lakshan of Sri Lanka Navy. The 2nd runners-up was Madhushanka Fernando of Sri Lanka Air Force.

Women race started from Kurunagala and travelled through Malsiripura, Galewela, and reached the finish point at Dambulla. The 2nd Day winner was Dinesha Dilrukshi of Sri Lanka Air Force. The 1st runners-up was U.N Kumarasinghe of Sri Lanka Army. The 2nd runners-up was B.L.S.Dilhani of Sri Lanka Army.

The first-ever competitive cycling event for juniors stared from Dambulla and travelled through,Kakirawa, Hambarana and reached the finish point at Dambulla. The winner was T.V.K.M.Dilmina of Stafernil Cycling Club. The 1st runners-up was U.N Kumarasinghe K.D.Keshan Maduranga of Silver Star Club. The 2nd runners-up was A.Dinusha Saranga of Kelani Cycling Club.
