With sltgo,
now you can carry your SLT home
broadband connection wherever you go.
sltgo is the Sri Lanka's largest Wi-Fi network that allows you to access unlimited data using your smart phone, mobile device or laptop. If you are an SLT Home broadband customer you can use your broadband credentials to access the sltgo service free of charge. When you are on the go, the sltgo app will automatically connect you to the nearest available WI-FI hotspot.
sltgo will create two Wi-Fi networks in your home broadband network - the private one to be used by you and another for public sltgo consumers.
The number of people who can use your home hotspot at a time is limited and subjected to maximum speed limitations giving priority to your private network. So your broadband experience will remain almost the same as before you subscribed to this solution. sltgo coverage maps will indicate the locations of available hotspots.
The data used by public users are not consumed from your home broadband data allowance, so your monthly data quota will not be affected.
Your home private Wi-Fi signal is separate from the sltgo or Fon public signals. This means your data and information will be kept secure from public users.
Like most public Wi-Fi networks, this solution is an unencrypted and open network and security limitations of such a network prevails in this solution as well.
If you buy a new connection from SLT this solution will be automatically added to your product subscriptions free of charge. If you are an existing SLT customer, please call 1212 to activate the service.
You can deactivate sltgo from your home broadband account at any time. Please call 1212 to unsubscribe from the service or click "deactivate" button in the website on my account page. By deactivating sltgo, you will not be able to access our network of hotspots in Sri Lanka or overseas with your home broadband service.
If you are not an SLT customer, you can still buy a Wi-Fi pass from sltgo as a prepaid solution and enjoy sltgo services.
You must fill in your username and password only for the first time that you get connected to the sltgo network via a specific device. From then on, you will get connected automatically, as with all the other WiFi networks saved in your mobile devices.
The free application, available for Android and iOS devices, offers you the possibility to:
