Next Generation Network Services
What is Hosted PBX?
Hosted PBX system delivers PBX functionality as a service, offered from a single centralized system (maintained at the service provider's premises) to end users over an IP network. This means that the customer doesn't need to invest on installation and maintenance of PBX equipment at their premises.
The Centralized Hosted PBX system maintained by the service provider will be partitioned to cater to different customers.
Hosted PBX application delivers a complete suite of enhanced PBX functionality over any IP connection. We can simply set up your enterprise that in turn can easily set up different users and groups within the enterprise. All setup and configuration is done via the web portal. We target businesses from those with as few as five end users to large enterprises with thousands of users distributed.
Further with this solution customers can obtain feature-rich telephony services than that was offered through legacy premises-based PBX systems. Customers can choose extensions from three kinds with different features.
In addition to the features available from premises-based PBX systems, hosted-PBX;
| • |
Allows a single number to be presented for the entire company, despite its being geographically distributed. A company could even chose to have no premises, with workers connected from home using their domestic telephones but receiving the same features as any PBX user. |
| |
|
| • |
Allows multimodal access, where employees access the network via a variety of telecommunications systems, including POTS, ISDN, cellular phones, and VOIP. This allows one extension to ring in multiple locations (either concurrently or sequentially). |
| |
|
| • |
Supports integration with custom toll plans (that allow intra company calls, even from private premises, to be dialled at a cheaper rate) and integrated billing and accounting (where calls made on a private line but on the company's behalf are billed centrally to the company). |
| |
|
| • |
Eliminates the need for companies to manage or pay for on-site hardware maintenance. |
| |
|
| • |
By Obtaining Business Trunking services, customers have already invested on Legacy PBX systems can interoperate with the Hosted PBX system end devices at the same premises. |
